Lighting Designer Claire Pendarves originally trained and worked as an interior designer before progressing into lighting design. She owned a lighting and interiors showroom for a number of years and has carried out numerous lighting projects throughout the UK and overseas.

Lighting design consultant Claire Pendarves originally trained as an interior designer but it was whilst working on the renovation of a classical villa in Montreux, Switzerland that she witnessed the transformational effects of expertly designed lighting when a renowned lighting designer was brought in. This changed the emphasis of her career forever. While well designed interiors, beautiful flooring, fabrics and wallcovering are key, it’s the lighting that raises the interior to a totally different dimension, creating warmth and mood control.
Claire then went on to create a lighting and interiors showroom in Truro for a number of years and has spoken at various design shows on the benefits of creative lighting planning.
Most of Claire’s work is designing the lighting for new-builds and renovations but we can also design an extension or remodelling of an interior. Claire is also experienced in lighting renovations of classical buildings where she sympathetically weaves in contemporary lighting techniques.
We quote for each project once we have seen the architectural plans and then any further site meetings or alterations, as the work progresses, will be charged at an hourly rate to be agreed at the outset.
